News about make up days for schoolsFayetteville, NC – Due to Hurricane Florence, students in the Cumberland County Schools (CCS) lost several days of valuable classroom instruction. The State provided CCS with calendar flexibility, which eliminated the requirement for CCS to make up all of the days missed because of the hurricane. However, in the interest of preserving instructional time for students, the Board voted to approve the following make-up days as full instructional days for students. Previously, some of the days were teacher workdays and two-hour early release days.
