Testing Tips

Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students will be taking their End-of-Grade (EOG) tests this week.  Here are some tips for parents to follow:

  • Make sure your child arrives at school on time all days, especially testing days.  Remember “Every Minute Counts.”
  • Have your child get a good night’s sleep before all tests.
  • Feed your child a hearty breakfast to stimulate their brain.
  • Encourage your child to use all of their strategies on the EOG tests.
  • Have your child dress in layers as the temperature will fluctuate in the classrooms.
  • Make sure your child brings anything they need for testing such as glasses.
  • Testing can be stressful so give your child a hug and an encouraging word each day during testing.

EOG tests are taking place the week of May 13th – 17th.
